LC-MS-IQ Privacy Policy

3. No Intended PHI Collection

LC-MS-IQ is not intended to collect, store, process, transmit, or manage:

  • Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI)
  • Patient medical records
  • Patient-identifiable information

Users should not upload:

  • Patient names
  • Dates of birth
  • Medical record numbers
  • Social Security numbers
  • HIPAA-regulated identifiers

or other information capable of identifying an individual patient.

Unauthorized PHI Submission

If a user uploads PHI, ePHI, or patient-identifiable information contrary to these terms, such submission shall be considered unauthorized.

The user remains solely responsible for such information and for compliance with all applicable privacy laws, regulations, and institutional requirements.

Use of LC-MS-IQ does not create a Business Associate relationship under HIPAA.

4. How Information Is Used

Information may be used to:

  • Provide software functionality
  • Authenticate users
  • Process uploaded files
  • Generate reports
  • Generate statistical analyses
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve software performance
  • Investigate software issues
  • Maintain system security
